Prevention is the best medicine

For people with healthy skin, it is crucial to protect, cleanse and care for it properly as a preventive measure so that the skin’s natural protective mechanisms are not disturbed or destroyed.

I need to know this:

  1. The skin is a living tissue
The skin is the largest organ of the human body. As a living tissue, it renews itself continuously so that the surface can perform its function as a protective barrier. It is therefore important to keep the skin in good condition for the stresses and strains of everyday life and work.
  2. External influences irritate the skin
Normal everyday life and work-related influences impair the skin’s natural barrier function, especially on the hands. If the negative influences are too strong, the skin can no longer regenerate properly and becomes permeable, like a sieve. In this case, substances that are usually well tolerated penetrate the skin and cause irritation. The skin becomes red, dry and sometimes cracked.
  3. Skin irritation promotes allergies
In healthy skin, substances that irritate the skin in everyday life and at work do not pass through the natural protective barrier. If the skin is irritated, allergenic substances can reach the deeper areas of the skin and cause an allergic reaction. This reaction is the active response of the organism as it mobilises the body’s own immune defence.

I have to do this:

  1. Avoid contact
Every user needs to know about the health risks of the products used. Toxic and allergenic substances must not be touched with bare hands.
  2. Skin protection
Skin protection creams act on the epidermis. They have the task of supporting the skin’s natural protective mechanisms, making it more difficult for working substances to penetrate and dirt to adhere, and thus making it easier to cleanse the skin.
  3. Skin cleansing
Skin cleansing must be adapted to the amount of dirt that has built up and the skin care materials used. The motto is “as gently as possible and as intensively as necessary” so that the natural regenerative capacity of the skin is not disturbed as far as possible.
  4. Skin care
Skin care has the task of restoring the natural balance of moisturising and lipid components in the skin and shortening the regeneration time after any stress.
  5. When a skin problem has already developed
Keroderm® supports the natural formation of new tissue and promotes the skin’s regeneration process. It contains bacteria-inhibiting substances and helps with dry, cracked, chapped and cracked skin. The sooner you treat small skin problems, the more effectively you can prevent diseases.

Treat skin injuries immediately

Basically, the quicker one tackles injuries or skin irritations, the more effectively diseases can be prevented. Wounds or other skin irritations allow the penetration of foreign substances and pathogens into the lower layers of the skin, which can facilitate the development of skin diseases.

While deep or very deep wounds should definitely be treated by a doctor and, if necessary, stitched, there are many small, superficial injuries that can be treated with a suitable wound and regeneration ointment.

Keroderm® is an ointment that supports the natural tissue formation of the skin and contains bacteria-inhibiting substances. It promotes the natural regeneration process of the skin, has a caring effect on stressed skin and is particularly suitable for dry, chapped and brittle skin. It can also be used to care for skin problems on the lips and nose or in the intimate area (external use only).

Keroderm® helps with small, superficial injuries.
